Our Company Pop/Rock Piano & Vocal Performance lessons combine piano and singing all in one. Students will learn how to sing properly and accompany his/herself on the piano. Students learn to play chords, improvise, and so much more, all while observing crucial theory and technical concepts. Learning to read staff notation is optional, but it is not required to be successful in this program. The best part: students choose the repertoire. All lessons in Company Performance are student-centered. Whether it’s Led Zeppelin, Aretha Franklin, or Ariana Grande repertoire; this program will nurture and awaken the pop/rock star within every student at Featherstone M&PA Co.
For students wishing to follow the traditional route, we offer lessons that strictly follow repertoire that prepares students for RCM Examinations.
Lesson and theory books are required to be purchased and are followed accordingly by the instructor.
For students wishing to explore pop, rock, and/or Broadway repertoire on the piano, we offer performance-style piano lessons that focus on such selections. The best part: the student chooses the repertoire. All lessons in our Contemporary Piano program are student-centered. Students learn to play chords, improvise, and so much more, all while observing crucial theory and technical concepts such as scales, intervals, etc. Students will learn to read staff notation from pop, rock, jazz and/or Broadway repertoire selections.
For students wishing to explore pop, rock, jazz, and/or Broadway vocal repertoire, we offer performance-style lessons that focus on such selections. The best part: the student chooses the repertoire. All lessons in our contemporary program are student-centered. Students learn how to take care of their voices and sing properly, all while observing crucial theory and technical concepts such as warm-ups, solfege, sight-singing, etc.
For beginners and adults alike! Students have the option to study through a series of lesson book options, or a more contemporary style student-centered lesson structure through chords and other contemporary techniques (with maybe some singing!)
